Please visit the Office of Graduate Studies for detail about the application process: Caltech Office of Graduate Studies http://www.gradoffice.caltech.edu/

Deadline
Applications for admission for the fall term should be received by December 15, but later applications will also be given due consideration. Foreign students are required to take the Graduate Record Examination, and it is highly recommended that American students do so also.

Visiting Campus for Chemical Engineering Prospective Graduate Students
Admitted prospective graduate students will be invited to visit the Caltech campus. The visiting weekend in 2017: March 11 - 14. Details of the visit will be outlined in admittance correspondence.

We recommend that you arrive in Pasadena on Friday by 5:00 p.m. to join our students and other prospective grad students for dinner in Pasadena.

Airport Information and Ground Transportation
Two airports are convenient to Pasadena, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Burbank Airport (BUR). Burbank is about 20 minutes away and is more convenient, but has limited service. LAX is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from Pasadena.

When you arrive at the airport, we recommend that you take Supershuttle (blue/gold vans) to Pasadena. This company serves the entire LA area. For reservations, www.superhsuttle.com. At LAX, Supershuttle can be found at the VAN stops on the traffic islands located outside of baggage claim at each terminal. At Burbank, Supershuttle is also located at a traffic island outside the terminal. Dispatchers will be there to call in a van to Pasadena for you.
